With the characteristics of its author—knowledge of Scripture, clear teaching, deep insight, personal experience and practical purpose—this book powerfully presents the truth of the Third Person of the Trinity and His ministry in our lives today. First published in 1932, this classic teaching on the Holy Spirit went to print as Chadwick was on his deathbed. Famed outdor evangelist Leonard Ravenhill, who was educated at Cliff College during Chadwick’s tenure there as principal, recommended this book for its great practical teaching on revival.

“Samuel Chadwick cuts to the heart of the matter in this classic book. . . . Christianity is hopeless without the Holy Spirit, and no other book I have ever read on the subject so clearly analyzes both our spiritual problems and God’s wonderful promises concerning the supply of His Spirit. Read it with an open heart, and you will be blessed!”

About the Author:

Samuel Chadwick As the young pastor of a self-satisfied English congregation in the 1880s, Samuel Chadwick was so frustrated over his lack of power in the pulpit that he collected his sermons in a pile and set fire to them. The result was immediate: the Holy Spirit fell on him. The new vitality in his preaching was evident in his very next sermon, at which seven people came to Christ. Within a few years his reputation had grown to the point that the chapel was full a half-hour before the service, and police had to be called in to control the crowds. In his final years as principal of a training school for preachers, he wrote his most well-known book, The Way to Pentecost, which was being printed when he died in 1932.
